Isn’t it amazing how the years slip by so quickly! I often think of you and wonder how things are going. Did you move out to your trailer for the summer and did you enjoy it? Having that space must be so good – a real getaway. So how are the knees, the hips and the rest of you? Gosh but I hope you are well.
Life in Sandy Point is plugging along. Over the year I’ve been doing a bit of writing, gardening, building stuff and the like. Always such fun and, of course, I go back a forth to Gander as I please. Having both Valerie and JuanitaRose close by is great. We get to see each other almost every day. We’re all kind of busy, which means we aren’t tripping over each other – that’s a good thing. ha Did I tell you that JuanitaRose got married during the summer. She and Nev are so happy. It’s good to see. David and the children are doing okay for the most part – putting one foot in front of the other.. Kaitlyn is struggling with depression and has taken a year off from university. We’re hoping she’ll find her way through and gain strength to tackle it all again in September. We’ll see. Nicole is about the same. We remain hopeful. And, Megan is just plain enjoying sports and life in general. Ah but that is wonderful.
And here it is Christmas again. I just made a batch of bread and was thinking of you … and Roy and Dave – such good memories. Time to get your Christmas card ready.
How I love making special cards for the special people in my life. These electronic cards are not quite a nice as the paper kind but it’s still such a pleasure for you remain in my thoughts and in my heart – a lifelong friend.
We are always forging new paths and creating new traditions while we cherish each memory of days gone by.
Life changes as the
years come and go –
that’s natural and
the way it should be.
But let’s take care
that the heart and
meaning of
Christmas
remain the same.

It is tradition to include a recipe with my cards.
This Year's Recipe
Turkey and Dressing Casserole (Christmas 2025)
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups cubed cooked turkey
1/4 cup onion (chopped)
1/4 cup celery (chopped)
1/4 cup salad dressing
1 egg (beaten)
3/4 cup milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup shredded cheese
Dressing
2 cups bread crumbs
1 tsp savoury
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup melted butter
Directions
Make dressing and divide in half. Spread 1/2 of dressing on bottom of casserole dish (9x9x2). Combine turkey, onion, celery and salad dressing. Spoon over dressing. Top with remaining dressing.
Combine egg and milk mixing well and pour over the casserole. Refrigerate for about 2 hour. Pour soup over casserole and bake at 325 for 30 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top and return to the oven until melted.
TIP: This is a great way to use leftover turkey. Other times, I substitute chicken or fish.
