Please say it’s not true
I forgot your birthday
That will never do.
I heard you were sad
and shed a tear or two
that your favourite Auntie
had forgotten about you
That is not really accurate

It was a calendar glitch
The greeting just wasn’t sent.
A week had passed by
before I noticed the time
Then I completely forgot
And that was the crime.
Now it’s a whole month later
for special greetings to you
with hopes you’ll forgive me
That’s what a favourite nehpew should do.
