Sandy and Margie, you are both very special people who have a way of caring and sharing. You are so kind and thoughtful and are not afraid to express love to all who matter in your lives. As you read this message and card, I can picture each one of you saying “It was nothing really. We have more!” Well, I won’t argue with you BUT I will tell you this, it was very special and very thoughtful of you to give me one of your porcelain roses. Most would not have done so! I am headed in to Bishop’s Falls shortly to place it at Dave’s graveside. Actually, I had intended to do that on Thursday but I ran out of steam.
And Sandy, I know how heavy your heart has been this past week or more. You loved your Aunt Kate more than words can express. But you didn’t just tell her that. You were there for her in thought, word and deed. You were so often by her side and to her that mattered. You mattered! You will miss her dearly. (Oh and btw – I gave Valerie your message. She remembered you telling her that before. She laughed and said, “of course, I will”.)
Thank You Sandy and Margie
Out of the earth, the rose
Out of the night, the dawn
Out of my heart with all its woes,
High courage to press on.

“A single red rose speaks volumes”,
I said as I placed it there.
“It is a symbol of love for a lifetime”
Thank you!
