One morning when I awoke, my thoughts were about a friend of mine. Throughout that whole day and into the next, she kept coming to mind. With the wind blowing gently, it was as if my spirit soared in search. I knew she was having a difficult time so I phoned to see how she was doing and to let her know I was thinking of her.
She wondered how all around her life could go on as if everything was normal. Didn’t they know? Couldn’t they see the world had tumbled and turned upside down and nothing is the way it should be.
My spirit flew to the end of the world
and as I look back to see
the tilt of the earth had gone awry
and nothing was the way it should be.There are times when life can be difficult and it is hard to make sense of everything. But somehow beyond the hurt, beyond the clouds, the sun is shining and there is a rainbow waiting.
