Apple Crisp

It really is the best kind of a dessert.  It is a very simple recipe that has been passed down from one generation to the next. Apple Crisp is fast, easy and the perfect comfort food.  The worst part is that you have to wait 30 minutes while it bakes.  Then serve it up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  Oh my!  I bet your mouth is watering.

Apple Crisp

Ingredients
3 or 4 apples (peeled and cut up)
1/3 cup margarine (softened)
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions

Line an 8x8x2 pan with parchment paper and preheat oven to 350°.

Peel and cut the apples in wedges/small chunks.  Spread on the bottom on the pan  In a separate bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and cut through to make a fine crumble. Spread evenly over the applies and bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes (untl the apples are tender and the topping golden).
