Ghislaine and Rick Christmas 2025

Ghislaine I was making cookies yesterday and, of course, I thought of you.  Oh my how many did you make over the years!  All those cans and the varieties you included … it was amazing.  I imagine it is on a smaller scale these days.  Wonderful to have such memories but I bet you are just as happy to say ‘been there; did that; moving on’.

I was disappointed I missed you on my last visit to Mt Pearl, Rick.  Hope you enjoyed the trip to Central. Any luck we’ll get to see each other next time.

How I love making special cards for the special people in my life.  These electronic cards are not quite a nice as the paper kind but it’s still such a pleasure for you remain in my thoughts and in my heart as lifelong friends.

We are always forging new paths and creating new traditions while we cherish each memory of days gone by.

Life changes as the
years come and go –
that’s natural and
the way it should be.
But let’s take care
that the heart and
meaning of
Christmas
remain the same.

Merry Christmas from My Home to Yours

The Message as always…
Hope | Peace | Love | Joy

Wishing You …
time to do the things you love
laughter in each and every day
the special joys of family
and
the warmth of friendship

I hope you have
a WONDERFUL Christmas
and
may the coming year
bring you blessings beyond measure
Here’s to good health,
happiness and adventure

It is tradition to include a recipe with my cards.

This Year's Recipe

Turkey and Dressing Casserole (Christmas 2025)

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups cubed cooked turkey
1/4 cup onion (chopped)
1/4 cup celery (chopped)
1/4 cup salad dressing
1 egg (beaten)
3/4 cup milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup shredded cheese

Dressing
2 cups bread crumbs
1 tsp savoury
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup melted butter

Directions

Make dressing and divide in half. Spread 1/2 of dressing on bottom of casserole dish (9x9x2). Combine turkey, onion, celery and salad dressing. Spoon over dressing. Top with remaining dressing.

Combine egg and milk mixing well and pour over the casserole. Refrigerate for about 2 hour. Pour soup over casserole and bake at 325 for 30 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top and return to the oven until melted.

TIP:  This is a great way to use leftover turkey.  Other times, I substitute chicken or fish.

  1. Oh what a wonderful tradition with your electronic cards and communications. Love your loving comments and know that you mean so much to us also. Distance has reduced the number of visits, but each and every one is so very special.
Loved to read it all and the comments are spot on. I say to Rick as we are watching TV programs “been there, done that” ha ha

Enjoy your family Christmas and friends close to home,
    Ghislaine & Rick
