All of my sisters are here in Sandy Point this week – celebrating our 2025 Sisterhood Summit! We are so fortunate to be able to get together at least once a year for, as we grow older, time becomes even more precious. This year we are a little less mobile as we meet at Pete’s house next door to spend our days there. She’s more confined to home because she’s supporting George through a progressing dementia. Now that is so sad to watch. How life changes, aye! But, our days are still filled with pockets of laughter and, of course, we’ve been eating our way through the week. Afterall, what is a Sisterhood Summit without FOOD! Oh my, the scales don’t hold my weight any more.
And I woke this morning thinking of you. We haven’t seen each other in several years now but yet it is as only yesterday. In my mind’s eye, I see your wonderful smile and hear the music in your voice. How many wonderful meals we were able to share! I miss being able to sit and chat though! Ah but perhaps we’ll be able to get together sometime this year. Sure hope so. Until then your remain in my thoughts and always close to my heart.
Happy Birthday Ruby
