The fairy doors had been there for some time now and were showing signs of age. Oh but they were so pretty at the start. She had chosen the colours carefully and was so sure it would last forever. It’s not always the way though. Not really.
Time and life takes its tole and fairy doors that once led to great adventures and playful laughter, lose their magic. Her eyes were sad and her heart heavy.
“Yes. The magic is gone now. That is just the way of it!” she said.
It was early morning. She wondered if it was just the heat messing with her mind. One never knows about such things. They always told her she had a wild imagination.
Then she saw the fields of lilies and the little people danced again.
