I found these in The BoBo Collection the other day. It was such fun to read them again – brought back memories. Now, really – doesn’t this kind of stuff happen to you, too? I never know what to expect in the run of a day but I am always guaranteed there will be some reason to laugh.
The Missing Tea Bag

You see, one of the tea bags went missing
I was sure it was steeping away
For I had put it in the tea pot
Like I do most every day.
It wasn’t until a few hours later
When I put the kettle on
That I found the water rusty
For I poured and it was brown.
It didn’t smell like water
and I was a bit disturbed
That’s when it finally hit me
Not rust but tea – absurd.
So I decided to clean that kettle
Lemon juice and baking soda seemed great
Oh what in the world was I thinking
Can you imagine the state!
Yeast in the Corn Flakes

Please don’t put yeast on your Corn Flakes
It goes clumpy and doesn’t taste all that good
Be sure you reach for the Flax seed
headache or not – understood?
You know what it’s like on the holidays
With a cold and when everything hurts
Just be careful when it is meal time
That’s when you really must stay most alert.
Cake in the Sink

“Jamie Oliver, it is time to move over”
was my thought as the day began
Having fun preparing for supper
for my nephew and his clan.
Well, as you can see from the photo
it doesn’t really pay to think
As I quickly found out the hard way
When the cake went into the sink.
Tasty and moist for a blueberry cake
Is what I always want to achieve
But let’s face it, this wasn’t quite right
Even the politest of guests would leave.
Kick-Start Your Day With a Smile
Isn’t it wonderful when you find a special quote – perhaps something that inspires you and helps kick-start your day with a smile or laugh!
I have a treasure chest full of little pieces of paper, notebooks, cut outs from newspapers or magazines, handwritten sticky notes – something that struck a chord.
There are poems and quotes that I read somewhere or things that I wrote –
bits and pieces of things that happen each day,
something odd that may have cropped up,
something someone may have said,
some little thing that made me smile. perhaps a verse of sorts,
something I sketched for fun
– just little things.
I like to tuck them away in “The BoBo Collection” to read again on a rainy, lazy day. It is such a pleasure to share snippets of my treasure chest with you.
My Best
Beulah
