Tea Biscuits

Tea Biscuits (or Tea Buns)

Thank you for this recipe Donna.  It is delicious and has never failed me yet!

Ingredients

2 ½ cups flour
½ cup sugar
5 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup margarine or butter
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 cup raisins

Directions

Combine dry ingredients, cut in butter; add raisins, milk and egg. Mix until it can be formed into a relatively smooth ball. Roll batter to approx 2″ thickness. Cut in circles (whatever size you prefer).

Bake at 425⁰ for approx 15 minutes (until golden)
