It is so exciting – it is a feeling that you can start over and make a fresh beginning. The slate has been wiped clean and you can write another wonderful story! I just love it!
I always remember my Mom saying years ago,
“You must always wear something new on New Years Day AND whatever you do that day will be how you will spend the rest of the year.”
No pressure there! But it is obviously essential that everything I do today be what I want for the next 365 days. Hmmmm! And my mind goes madly off in all directions for there are so many perfect choices to fill this 24 hours:
- watch the fireworks
- visit someone special
- invite people for a meal
- have a little bonfire
- write a blog or new quote
- read a book
- make something
- bake something
- go for a walk
- sit by the river
I wonder what is on your list for today. I hope it will be exciting for you, too. But mostly, I am hoping the day will be about making memories and that it will be filled with peace and contentment.
